Adtv.live was created to provide a dedicated platform for the African diaspora—a space where communities around the world can connect more deeply with African culture, history, identity, and with one another.
The African diaspora is broad and diverse, shaped by different countries, languages, histories, traditions, and experiences. Adtv.live seeks to create a welcoming point of connection where those differences can be explored and celebrated while building greater understanding of the ties that connect diaspora communities to Africa and to each other. This approach also reflects the brand guideline not to assume that every member of the diaspora shares the same nationality, history, language, or relationship with Africa.
In its first stage, Adtv.live is an online music channel introducing audiences to the many sounds, artists, cultures, and stories of the African diaspora. Music gives us a powerful starting point for discovery, education, and connection.
But this is only the beginning.
As Adtv.live develops, our ambition is to expand into a broader range of programming and news relevant to the diaspora. Future content will explore culture and history, developments affecting Africa and diaspora communities, business and economic opportunities, and other subjects that can help our audience better understand and engage with Africa.
We also hope to contribute to greater economic connection within the diaspora by increasing awareness of opportunities and encouraging trade, collaboration, and support among diaspora communities and across Africa.
